Who We Are

Independent. Honest. Australian.

IronCheckpoint was founded in Sydney in 2019 by a group of passionate gamers who believed the Australian gaming community deserved honest, independent coverage — free from publisher influence and sponsored scores.

Our team of reviewers, journalists, and esports enthusiasts is spread across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. We cover everything from blockbuster AAA titles to indie gems, and from grassroots LAN events to national esports championships.

Every review on IronCheckpoint is written by someone who has genuinely played the game — typically for a minimum of 15 hours before putting pen to paper. We believe in transparency, and our scoring rubric is publicly available.

Australian Perspective
We review games and cover events through the lens of the Australian gaming experience — including server performance, local pricing, and community.
👥
Community First
We exist to serve Australian gamers. Reader feedback shapes our coverage priorities, and we actively support local esports events.
